This Detox Smoothie is full of antioxidants, micronutrients, fiber, healthy fat, greens and berries.  You can easily get 5-10 servings of veggies and fruits with this delicious shake.   You'll find this recipe and other great recipes in the 10 Day Detox Recipes cookbook.

Ingredients description

1/2  - 1lb. spinach (or other green leafy vegetable)

2 cups mixed berries (organic is best)

1 organic lemon (peel, seeds and all)

1/4 cup chia Seeds

1 can coconut milk (organic is best)

1 Tbs. vanilla

Water  (as needed to achieve desired consistency)

Stevia extract to tasste (optional)

Ice (optional)

1-2 scoops vegan protein powder (optional)


Place all ingredients into a high speed blender. Put liquid and soft things on the bottom and dry things at the top. Secure lid and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust for sweetness, flavor, and consistency. Sip slowly, mixing with saliva to optimize digestion. Put any unused smoothie in an airtight glass container and store in refrigerator for up to 24 hours.


NOTE: These recipes are for smoothies made in a high speed blender. If you just have a regular blender, you may need to make adjustments if the smoothie does not come out as smooth as you would like. For example, you may need to chop the produce before putting it in the blender, add more water, or remove the peels and stems from some of the more rigid fruits and vegetables.
