Dear Dr. Janae,
I have a lot of your cookbooks and I really like them as I am trying to transition to a plant based diet. They have given me a really good start and I find your recipes delicious and easy to prepare. I have a question concerning almond milk. I have used your recipe for quite sometime and I know in your videos you say that the pulp can be used for other recipes. Could you please let me know what recipes it can be used for. Right now I am making almond milk 1-2 times a week and mostly throwing out the pulp because I don't know what to do with it.
I'm just starting to do the Thanksgiving recipes and videos you recently featured. I actually don't live in USA but I live in Canada. Our Thanksgiving is in October but I think these recipes will be great as Christmas approaches. I hope you continue to do your recipe/video series because they have been very helpful for me.
I agree that it's sad and frustrating to have a bunch of nut pulp and not know what to do with it. I don't like to waste any food either, so I've gathered up some of my favorite recipes that use the nut pulp that is left over after making nut milk. Just click on the photos or links to be taken to the recipes.
TIP: If you can't use the nut pulp right away, just put it in a zip lock bag, squeeze all the air out, and store it in the freezer. When you are ready to use it, just let it thaw for an hour or so, and you'll have fresh nut pulp ready for one of these delicious recipes.
